The Igino Giordani Foundation (FIG) is a non-profit organization based in Spain dedicated to promoting universal brotherhood.
More than designing a simple website, the challenge was to create a platform for concrete action.
After analyzing how other organizations communicate their messages, I sought to synthesize what only FIG can offer.
The aim was to create a speech that touched the visitor's heart, sharing the foundation's history and motivations. To do this, I conducted workshops with the stakeholders to define the tone and modality that best expresses FIG's ideals.
The next step was to map donor motivations, identifying the hooks that connect people to a cause.
Investing in this connection is essential to retaining active participation.
The main problem to be tackled was the disconnection between those who donate, FIG and those who receive the donation.
When disaster strikes or even for long-term aid projects, what makes the difference, from the donor's point of view, is not so much sending money to a cause, but creating a bond with those who suffer. This is the only way to go beyond charity.
Igino Giordani is the Italian politician who inspired the creation of FIG.
The visual language of the interface, with its marked contrasts between warm and cool colors, was inspired by his joy, the fruit of a life dedicated to peace and concord.
The main user of the site is the donor. For this reason, as well as including an appeal for donations, it was essential to present information about the cause and the means of donating in a clear and direct manner, with the aim of strengthening the link between the donor and the cause.
The modular donation solution offers two main methods: contributing to the foundation as a whole or to a specific project. In addition, it makes the means of donation more flexible, ranging from bank transfers to donations of time.
At the end of the day, the portal makes the user not only a donor but also a collaborator, i.e. someone willing to work for universal brotherhood.
The publication of the portal helped to engage FIG's partners and collaborators, keeping the network of donations and collaboration built up over years of work active.
The new FIG portal has expanded the foundation's activities, consolidated partnerships and made it easier to publish initiatives and projects.
Donations grew by an average of 35% comparing 2023 with 2024.
Projects such as Casa de Acolhida Chiara Luce were launched with speed and agility.
The new project prioritized the area of accountability, increasing donor confidence.
